Description
Litecoin (LTC) is a cryptocurrency created in 2011 by Charlie Lee, a former Google engineer. It is a peer-to-peer digital currency that allows instant, near-zero cost payments to anyone in the world. Litecoin is based on the Bitcoin protocol but differs in terms of its hashing algorithm, block transaction times, and maximum supply. It was designed to produce blocks more frequently, making transactions faster and cheaper than Bitcoin. Litecoin is often considered the silver to Bitcoin's gold.
