Description
Ethereum Classic (ETC) is the original version of the Ethereum blockchain that remained after a major hard fork in 2016 following the DAO hack. It adheres to the principle of "Code is Law," meaning that the blockchain's history should never be altered or reversed regardless of the circumstances. While it shares many technical features with Ethereum, such as smart contract functionality, it has chosen to maintain a Proof of Work consensus mechanism.
