Description
Polygon Ecosystem Token (POL) is the upgraded native token of the Polygon network, designed to power its transition into a "hyper-scalable" multichain ecosystem known as Polygon 2.0. It replaces the original MATIC token and serves as the primary utility asset for securing multiple chains within the Polygon world through a unified staking layer. POL holders can participate in securing any chain in the ecosystem, earning rewards for their contributions across different networks.
